Doctoral students in dissertation stage must complete the full basic human subjects training course via the CITI website prior to submitting for IRB approval. Any student 'short-course' CITI certificates for projects done as part of university coursework are not valid for dissertation writing; the full (several hours) course must be completed, and can be saved and revisited in more than one sitting. Current webpage for more info is http://www.rowan.edu/som/hsp/education/ (and may be changed or updated, so inquire again with your advisor if unclear about next steps)
