How do I disable a pop-up blocker which is preventing me from accessing a library resource?
You may need to disable pop-up blocking to be able to use some websites or databases.
In most browsers you have the option to either turn off your pop-up block completely or add a site to a list of pop-up blocker exceptions.

Internet Explorer
- From the 'Tools' menu select 'Pop-up Blocker > Turn off pop-up blocker'
Add a site to the exceptions list
- From the 'Tools' menu, select 'Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings'
- Add the site name (up to the first slash '/') and click 'Add'

Mozilla Firefox
- From the 'Tools' menu, select: 'Tools > Options... > Content'
- Un-tick 'Block popup windows'
Add a site to the exceptions list
- From the 'Tools' menu, select: 'Tools > Options... > Content'
- Click the 'Exceptions...' button opposite to 'block popup window'
- Add the site name (up to the first slash '/') and click 'Allow'
Google Chrome
- Select 'Options' from the Chrome menu on a PC, or under the 'Chrome > Preference' menu on a Macintosh, and then choose 'Under the Hood'
- Next click the 'Content settings...' button.
- Click the 'Pop-ups' tab and tick the 'All all sites to show pop-ups'
Add a site to the exceptions list
- Select 'Options' from the Chrome menu on a PC, or under the 'Chrome > Preference' menu on a Macintosh, and then choose 'Under the Hood'
- Next click the 'Content settings...' button.
- Click the 'Exceptions' button.
- In the 'Pop-up Exceptions' window, click the 'Add' button and enter the site name (up to the first slash '/') and click 'OK'
Apple Safari
- From the 'Safari' menu, un-tick 'Block Pop-Up Windows'
