I need help with formatting a paper and citing my sources, and heard EndNote can help. What is it?

Citation management programs, such as EndNote, and websites are tools that helps users collect and organize references. The more powerful ones can gather references from online sources (or elsewhere), create searchable personal databases, find and cite references while writing, and create bibliographies formatted in a style of choice.  They are very helpful to researchers and anyone that needs to write a paper that requires formatting and citing of sources.  They are particularly useful when writing theses, dissertations, or a paper or manuscript for publication.

Rowan University Libraries has subscriptions to two citation management tools, Refworks and EndNote.  EndNote is the preferred tool at Rowan-Virtua SOM and GSBS, and it is the one supported by the Rowan-Virtua SOM Health Sciences Library. The Rowan-Virtua SOM Library does not support, Refworks, Zotero or Mendley.   The RowanSOM Library Guide for EndNote can help with downloading, installing, and using EndNote.  For more information on EndNote, or to schedule training contact Kevin Block at the Rowan-Virtua SOM Library
