There is no easy answer to this question as vendors, publishers, and content providers have varying and continually changing requirements on which browsers are best to access their databases and resources.  In general the latest versions of the most popular browsers will work fine with most library resources.  Any special browser or settings, or app requirements are normally prominently featured on the resources or databases homepage.  For additional information see the Rowan IRT Knowledge Base article on web browsers
