Can guests and Rowan-Virtua SOM affiliates use the Hope Brings Strength Library?

Guest Access
Guests of Rowan-Virtua SOM students and Virtua Health College students enrolled in programs based at the Stratford or Sewell campuses may use the Hope Brings Strength (HBS) Library during staffed hours only. Guests must:

  • Present a valid photo ID
  • Sign in at the library service desk
  • Remain with their Rowan host at all times

Guests are not permitted to use library computers and do not have access to Rowan University Libraries’ electronic resources.


CMSRU Students
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) students may use the HBS Library during weekday staffed hours under a reciprocal agreement. CMSRU students must contact Rowan Police to arrange access to the Academic Center.


Rowan-Virtua SOM–Affiliated Healthcare Residents
Residents affiliated with Rowan-Virtua SOM through partner healthcare institutions may use the HBS Library during weekday staffed hours only. Residents must contact Rowan Police to arrange access to the Academic Center.


Volunteer Faculty
Rowan-Virtua SOM volunteer faculty may obtain a Rowan ID from Rowan Police. This ID provides access to the Academic Center and the HBS Library after staffed hours. Faculty should contact Rowan Police to request an ID.
