I am volunteer faculty with Rowan-Virtua SOM, how do I get remote access to library resources?

As part of Rowan University Libraries the Hope Brings Strength Health Sciences Library at Rowan-Virtua SOM provides access to thousands of online resources, such as databases, e-Journals, and e-books.  In most cases these are licensed resources and can only be accessed on and off-campus by current Rowan University students, faculty and staff, residents from Rowan-Virtua SOM affiliated institutions, OLOL/Virtua nursing students and faculty, and Rowan-Virtua SOM volunteer faculty.

To access online Library resources you must have a Rowan NetID and start at a Rowan University Libraries' website.  When you access a licensed online resource users will 1st be prompted to select their affiliation, either Rowan or Cooper Health.  After selecting Rowan as your affiliation you will be prompted to enter your Rowan NetID and directed to authenticate through Duo.

To find your Rowan NetID or to create or reset your NetID password go to:

https://netid.rowan.edu/

Click the appropriate button and follow the prompts.

To access Rowan services or resources, including library resources, you are required to enroll and use Duo, Rowan’s 2 factor authentication method.

Rowan University students, faculty, and staff are assigned NetIDs when they enroll or join Rowan University.

Rowan-Virtua SOM volunteer faculty are provisioned with Rowan NetIDs through the Dean's office upon their appointment as volunteer faculty

Rowan-Virtua SOM affiliate residents see this FAQ on how to get your Rowan account.
